I want to preface my review by saying that I am a Christian that does not believe that Harry Potter promotes witchcraft; it's a fantasy novel, and the laws of the Harry Potter universe are not the same as ours. For that reason, I didn't read Peter Crossings thinking of it as an "alternative" to Harry Potter, but rather as its own independant work.

I typically read adult level sci-fi or fantasy, but I wanted to see if this book would be a Christian novel in the style of Harry Potter-type fiction.Overall, I liked the book, though it did have some grammatical glitches here and there, but nothing distracting.

This is an excellent book with a great moral foundation. Some critics will get caught up in the similarities between Peter Crossings and Harry Potter, but the similarities are superficial and do not have a measurable effect on the plot.
